Danby DBC514BLS 5.3 Cu. Ft. Silhouette Beverage Center - Black/Stainless

This fridge looks great, and it is the right size for under the counter in our kitchen, we bought it to keep all the drinks out of the big fridge.... but man! It drives us crazy constantly turning on and off, literally 10 times a minute. We have tried turning the temp up and keeping it full, but to no avail. It is really noticeable and bothersome in the quiet moments of the morning and evening...just when you want to relax and enjoy your kitchen. It's almost like it's breathing and straining. We are bummed about it.

Perfect wetbar fridge
This is a beautiful bev fridge that looks sleek and modern in our new wetbar. The blue light definitely has the "wow" factor and it does not warm the fridge like a traditional bulb can. The temperature is holding true at 39 degrees (which is the lowest setting since it is really the wine fridge with different shelves). It does exactly as promised and looks amazing doing it.

Failed in less than a year of use
We had the Silhouette less than a year when it started getting loud and would no longer hold it's temperature. We called for warranty service but because it was a new home and it had been in the home 6 months longer, Danby wouldn't cover it. We had the builder's receipt and the house purchase info but they didn't care. I pulled it out of the cabinet just to check that it perhaps didn't have some simple problem like an air obstruction on the fan. It was extremely hot on the outside. No obstruction found. It did however proudly proclaim the city in China where it was manufactured.

Given the reviews here I can't see putting any money into this. I'll think I will look for another manufacturer.

KitchenAid KHM7T 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Empire Red

A great complement to my K45
I have baked for nearly 30 of my 41 years, and I have used a lot of hand mixers. This one by KitchenAid is a great partner to my KitchenAid stand mixer. I have used it for everything from cookie dough, to cream, to mashed (okay, whippped) potatoes. It has never failed me, I find it powerful enough for my purposes, and one thing that has not been mentioned in the other reviews is that this mixer is relatively quiet. Not silent, but quiet.For jobs that are really too small for the K45, this is ideal. Nicely balanced, easy to use. In short, a winner.

Quiet, Powerful, Reliable but slow
I have the 5 speed version of the KA hand mixer (same motor, same speed range, just fewer speed stops and you save up to 30$). It works very well for batters and doughs, without bogging down and without whining.

The only limitation of the KA handhelds is that their maximum speed is on the slow side. Whipped cream and egg whites don't build up as fast or firmly as you sometimes need (it is hard to get firm, dry peaks in egg whites like for meringue).

While I have the 5qt KA stand mixer (and love it!), I was disappointed in the slowness of the hand mixer. Until I got the wire whisk attachment (about 16$ from appliance parts supplier). This made all the difference. I can now whip a half pint of cream and 2 egg whites in under a minute!

Do yourself a favor: save money by buying the 5 speed model and spend only about half of the money you saved on the wire (balloon) whisk attachment. You'll get better performance for less money.

I gave this (and it's twin models) 4 stars...

Another wonderful little powerhouse from KitchenAid
You know there are times when you just don't want to haul out the big mixer, right? Well, being the holiday hostess for my large extended family, my Irish brothers love their mashed potatoes. When I have a holiday dinner and my countertops are loaded with lots of other wonderful holiday dinner foods waiting to be served, hauling out the big mixer is just not an option. Out comes this handy little KitchenAid hand mixer! In a jiffy, this little powerhouse mashes the potatoes and then away it goes so dinner can proceed as needed. It's a really cool tool and I'm glad to have it at times like that. Also, I have pulled it out to mix pancake batter, sometimes cake batter, and other easy to mix items. It's easy to wipe down and the beaters pop right off to go into your dishwasher. Easy clean, easy to use, easy storage -- what more could you want?

Must Have
What a fantastic tool for my Big Green Egg. Did a brisket at 250 and it held it there for 7 hours, no problem! If I had a suggestion, make it water proof.

Great heat control with my BGE.
I have now tackled baby back ribs and pulled pork roast . I was able to sustain low heat for over 12 hours. I put on the food in the morning and went to work. When I got home I was ready for the last stage of cooking. This pulled pork was spectacular.

Go direct to them... Had problems with vendor. Spend less and get all the info you need on how this product works.
The product is great...comes in 4 different colors when you go direct. BBQ guru is happy to walk you through which of their products work best based on grill size and brand. Don't sell yourself short.

Proctor Silex 62535 Bowl Rest 5-Speed Mixer, White

burned up on second use
Very dissapointed with this purchase. My last handheld mixer lasted more than 20 years and I had to replace it when the beaters fell apart. This one's motor went out the second time I used it. Spend a few more dollars and buy a quality product.

Pleasant performance for 3 months and then KAPUT!
This worked well for a few months and then it died...It seemed like a good product, but only at first. I would recommend spending a bit more to get better quality. Disappointing at best.

Nice mixer!
This is a light, easy to use hand mixer that even rests on the side of the bowl should it be too heavy to hold, but it's not. I got it because I like the weight and the nicely designed controls, and I use it for things like whipping egg whites, cream, etc. I don't want to drag my big mixer out for.

I use my Mixmaster for larger jobs, and mix cookie dough, brownies or bread dough with a spoon. If you want a hand mixer to do the job of a stand mixer, though, get a heavy duty one. If you want it to knead dough or do heavy cookie dough, get one of those $300 stand mixers lol!

ARY VacMaster PRO 305 External Vacuum Packaging Machine with 12" Seal Bar

Very Impressed
I normally don't review items but this one is an exception to the rule. Please note, it was not purchased through Amazon but the merchant I went through doesn't have a location to review and I use Amazon quite frequently and I believe it may help others in search of a good packaging system. I have only used the unit now for fifteen packages of pecans in rather rapid succession. Works flawlessly. I have scrapped three other Food Saver brand machines prior to this VacMaster due to one thing or another. As a novel idea, this machine comes with an additional vacuum seal as well as an extra sealing element. Spare parts, that is great as neither of the replacements had that option nor product support when they cratered.

Again this machine has already passed its successors and my hope is that it will remain a viable part of our vacuum packing processes for some time to come. I highly recommend this unit to anyone whom needs a serious packaging system.

This is my first chawan, purchased from DoMatcha. Chawans are used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and are for drinking matcha; finely ground green tea powder whisked with hot water. Before acquiring this chawan, I would drink my matcha from either a wide soup cup or cereal bowl. I must say that it is more satisfying to drink matcha from a traditional vessel.

Chawans come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from elegantly simplistic to rough and earthy. I chose this one because I hadn't seen many with a red glaze. It contrasts nicely with the bright green matcha after it is mixed and has complex enough patterning to keep the eyes interested. The patina of the glaze is smooth but with a slight texture for easy gripping. The bowl doesn't get too hot, is nicely weighted, and its flat "foot" keeps it from easily tipping. The interior is smooth with no ridges so the matcha powder is easy to mix properly. This style is slightly taller and thinner than most and is meant to...

Nice Matcha Bowl - Good Price
Very nice bowl. The glaze has nice color and texture variation to it and the inside of the matcha bowl has the hand thrown swirl marks. The bottom is unfinished and I hand-wash it as it does not look dishwasher safe. It is very easy to clean by hand with just hot water. A bamboo chasen is needed to stir the matcha into a nice slightly frothy blend for drinking. The chasen is more essential than the matcha bown in my opinion.

Nice and long for stirring, but so are chopsticks - I wanted a spoon, too.
This is long enough for mixing in tall glasses, but the spoon part is useless. Can't pick anything out of jars because it is too small. The rounded handle slips in your hand.

The Best Blender We Have Ever Owned
After owning two inferior blenders, I wanted one for our family that was powerful, sturdy, relatively quiet, easy to clean and good-looking. This blender is simply the best blender we have ever owned.

First, it is very powerful. You should have no problem using it for everything blenders are usually used for, including crushing ice, which it does amazingly well. It has a separate smoothie button that is fantastic: it varies the speed during the blending process and helps you create perfect smoothies, with no effort on your part. The blender shuts off automatically after using the smoothie or other preset functions, and has a digital display that counts down and tells you how long it will take to finish blending.

Perhaps most importantly, the curved blades and concave container are designed in such a way as to reduce or eliminate the amount of food that gets stuck in the bottom of the blender. In fact, after using it a few times, I was pleasantly surprised to find...

Breville BBL600XL
I initially had a great experience with the Breville BBL600XL blender. It did everything that I wanted, and did it very well. Smoothies, frappes, fruits, veggies, all that I wanted it to do. I didn't have any problems with the frequently discussed leaking large seal.

But the problem with my unit, and after much internet research, I believe others are having the same problem as well, but just haven't disassembled and diagnosed the problem. I have done exactly that, and here is what I have found.

There is a small black seal under the blades, not the large seal which seals the cutter assembly to the glass jar. Here is what I believe is occurring: The liquid from the ingredients, which are blended, eventually leak under this black seal (which is underneath the 3 blades inside the jar), and into a bearing which is part of the blade assembly. This bearing should be a high quality food quality sealed bearing, but this particular bearing is not either, a)high quality,...

Gaggia Dose Espresso Machine

I was hesitant about selecting my next espresso machine and read plenty of reviews.
I'm happy to say that all of the negative reviews of this machine have to be because of incompetence. It is so simple. I read the manual. I use it 1to 4 times a day. i referenced the manual the first few times i made espresso, dispensed hot water, and frothed milk. I love it. I've found that old coffee certainly has very little crema, however some shots have a bountiful amount of crema. fresh beans with an espresso grind from a good coffee and follow the maual and you wont be disapointed.
I LOVE the dosing programing option. I love that i can use my own grounds, or pods if I am in a hurry. I would consider giving this item as a gift for a friend.

Perfect
I received this machine as a gift and I love it! I was hesitant to buy one myself because it seems impossible to make a good cup of cappuccino at home. I am very picky about my coffee and i'm not patient enough to work with difficult machines that take a lot of time. This machine is perfect for me. The directions were a little confusing at first because they are in so many languages and the buttons don't have words on them, but once you figure it out the first time, it's super easy. I thought I would just be using this once in awhile, but I find myself using it multiple times daily because it's so easy, fast, and quick to clean up. I have absolutely no complaints about the machine.

Makes good espresso!
Had to send the first one back since something inside came loose, but the unit was replaced with no problem and it makes good espresso for the moderate price. Get the grinder as well. You won't be sorry that you did.

Rheem Ruud Weatherking Factory OEM Protech Parts 42-24194-82 Furnace Pressure Switch

I am not furnace mechanic. I am diy-er whose furnace quit one day. I was able to follow the diagnostics listed in the manual and deduce that this switch may be the problem.
For those in the same shoes and looking at this, disconnect the rubber hose and blow into it. If you have a separate switch, slip thin screw driver and try pushing on the switch. It's either stuck switch or stuck diaphram (I know this is wrong spelling).
The replacement does not come with exterior mounted switch. The replacement, apparently, has a switch built into the round body.
I called the supplier to ask if this was indeed the right replacement. It is listed as replacement for the model number I have. But the store operator/owner asked for the pressure rating of the original switch, which I did not have, especially being a novice diy. I kind of felt sorry for this guy, getting calls from house owners who bought from Amazon. Plumbing suppliers usually talks to professionals only, you...

Furnace Pressure Switch replacement
This is a very simple and straight forward replacement.
The pressure switch ensures that sufficient fresh air is available for combustion in the furnace. When the switch fails, the furnace will not turn on. This kit provides the new switch, mount and new hose. Hose and electrical adapters are included but were not needed on my application.

Champion Commercial or Household Juicer Blank: Almond color

Exactly what I was looking for!
I recommend this Juicer blank to everyone! High Quality and works brilliantly! I tried making almond butter without the blank, but it was necessary and worth the cost!

Little Leaky, but great peanut butter
If you want really great low calorie softserve ice cream just throw a frozen banana in here, the texture and taste was great. I also used it with some honey roasted peanuts and got some great fresh creamy peanut butter. I found when making sorbet and other things that were a bit wetter, that i had to put a bowl or towel under it to catch some of the drippings, but other than that, it worked great.

It is cheap made and look cheap, does not provide battery or charger. From the start the light was flicking and dimming,

Only Frame Is Black. Very Flimsy.
The picture & description are very misleading. The outer frame IS black but the part you write on is clear. All the stuff you see in blue is etched into the board and the side blue led lights shine on the etching. Because the board is clear / see through it is difficult to see what is written on the board. I guess if you put a piece of black paper behind the clear plastic writing portion your things may show up? The included "marker" is an orange highlighter.

I bought this for my niece's college dorm room but it is more suitable for my 8 year old granddaughter except it's not sturdy enough for someone that age unless they are very gentle with things.

The stick that holds it up is only on one side but seems to hold it up fine because it is so light. Its about as sturdy as putting a piece of plastic between four attached plastic rulers.

Over all it is very cheap. This product is more like a toy...

Hamilton Beach 32188 18 Quart Roaster Oven

wonderful!
I am not normally a chicken cook, because I don't like handling the birds or basting them or anything.
This roaster is awesome! I put two chickens in there stuffed with a quartered onion- then I simply brushed some veggie oil over the top of the birds. I roasted them for about a hour and they were cooked to perfection! Krispy skin, juicy inside, all awesome! Definitely a keeper.

Works great!
The roaster works great, I used it for Thanksgiving for my turkey as a "trial run" for Christmas when I have guests. The only exception is the instructions for cooking my turkey. They tell you to put it on a temperature that is too high. I will follow my instincts and set it at a sedate 325 and roast it low and slow on the 25th.
But mechanically speaking, it delivers! I would recommend it for freeing your conventional oven for sides and the like.

Good Cooker
For a 18 Quart roaster over I can put 4 peace's of fish is it or a full rack of chicken. Does not take long to heat up and does not heat my house up like my home oven does. Love it. Just wish it had a light to tell me when it was done preheating.

Crock-Pot SCR503UM 5-Quart Round Manual Slow Cooker with Dipper, Stainless Steel

Worst crock pot
This 5 qt crock pot is a terrible buy. It burns everything on high and on low. It does not burn on warm but takes forever to cook. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is a waste of money.

Burns the food
Doesn't matter whether it's on high or low... it burns the food and half of it evaporates as it's cooking, so there's even less when it's done. what a waste of money.

If you love really WELL-DONE everything, this could be for you!
Same experience as everyone else. I just tried 2 hours for a recipe that called for 5 to 8 hours and everything was still well-done-ruined. (It just sits there and boils to death in the cauldron). I was thinking about trying WARM for LOW, but I see that someone else said that didn't work out so well either.

I'm going to try a cast-iron dutch oven and do my slow cooking in the oven instead.

There is a rumor on the WEB that all crock pots stabilize to the same TEMP on HIGH and LOW now days, about 190-degrees. LOW is supposed to use less wattage -- meaning that LOW takes a little longer to nuke your roast. The rumor goes on to say that LOW used to stabilize to about 160 degrees, but people were getting sick because they couldn't follow simple instructions pertaining to thawing out that hunk of frozen meat BEFORE throwing it into the crock-pot. (I guess they couldn't be bothered to buy a thermometer either). Ruined it for everyone.

Hamilton Beach 31506 Convection 6 Slice/Broiler Toaster Oven

Good so far
Just bought this yesterday from Bed and Bath. Today I tried the toast feature. Used the light brown setting on some bagels, came out light brown. Next the dark brown setting; came out dark brown and not burnt. It works. As for the rack not being attached to the door(this appears to be an issue for some); this oven has two levels for the rack, this means you can't have that feature. The crumb tray removal is fine, you just need to wait until the oven cools off before removing it. It's also good as baking rack if you wanted to use it as one. Another problem with these units is a convection fan that's really loud. Not this one. Very quiet. Can't even tell it's on. The only thing I found so far that could be a problem are the metal strips on the door. One is right behind the handle and is rather easy to touch if your not careful.

overcoming prejudice
For some reason, the nameplate HAMILTON BEACH never clicked with me as an appliance super star, or even star. I stand corrected. I took a flier and bought this thinking it would probably go back. I'd done the same with other more expensive and disappointing toaster ovens so hope was not high.
This oven has been a happy surprise. My acid test is this; one toasted piece of bread. How even is the brown. If it goes well here, all else will follow. I'm very happily surprised by the result and hope for a long life from this little box. The overall build quality is good. My only reservation would be - how long will the twisting timer last. It could become an issue, but I think that would happen far down the road. A toast to H.B.

Used it for a year and all good
Rarely do people write reviews after using something for over a year.

I Have been using the Hamilton Beach 31506 for over a year and it has performed well. I have no oven so I use it all the time. It is a bit slow to heat up and I feel as it get older it is getting slower. I was going to buy a new one with more power and more covienient features but as I research Toaster ovens they all seem to have same issues. I may just get the next model up in hopes it heats up faster. To this day it still toasts bread perfectly and fairly fast. The broiler is slow. People say the out side heats up to much and I'm like OK fine so I put my plates on top and use it for a plate warmer.

Diamond Plate? Solid Genuine Leather Perforated Skull Cap

Received wrong item. Ordered skull cap with perforated material for coolness. Received a completely different skull cap . No perforation, and it had flames on it.

I ordered this cap as it is described as "leather perforated skull cap" wanting some ventilation. the cap I received was nice, but not the one described: solid leather with flames on the sides.

44oz, plastic blender jar, complete. Fits Hamilton Beach.

Zero. Not a happy customer
This flimsy container started leaking in its second use then proceeded to develop a crack from bottom to top.

I contacted the Goodman's and asked for the jar to be replaced. As of today, two weeks later, I never got a respond.

So, not only I'm not happy with the plastic jar, I'm also NOT happy with Goodman's. Not good customer service.

I hope you don't deal with them.

Piece of Junk
This kit is not made by Hamilton Beach. All the parts are so flimsy, I didn't dare risk using it. Look elsewhere!

Shatter proof Hamilton Beach blender jar
The jar of my twenty two year-old Hamilton Beach blender cracked last week and the liquid started seeping out. I turned to Amazon.com. I was linked up with Goodman.
