Whynter FM-62DZ Dual Zone Portable Refrigerator/Freezer, 62-Quart

Now this baby does its job
It's a little pricey but if you want the control of refrigerator and freezer sizes and the ability to have both at the same time this little cooler is the way to go.

Heavy and bulky but does the job.
Item arrived with surface damage on the compressor corner. The outer grilled cage was slightly dented in but has no effect on the refrigerator/freezer's operation. I shipped this to Maui and was not about to send it back just for that reason. The unit needs a few minutes to chill down but works beautifully while in operation. I use this exclusively in my vehicle and my only complaint is that I wish they would have supplied a longer power extension cord. While adjusting for ventilation, it will take up lots of room in your trunk.

Whynter FM-62DZ
Well constructed, cools/freezes quickly, decent amount of room. Haven't yet tested using DC but will update later after I have done so.

Gaiam 53044 GT Xpress 101 Countertop Grill with Recipe Book

If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
I had a horrible experience with GT 101 Express company, and I am so glad Amazon is not selling this junk product anymore. I tried to order the item directly from the company and when I found out how outrageous the shipping cost was, I canceled the order. Three weeks later, I received six of these items and were charged over $200 without my permission. When I called the customer service at GT Express, the customer service people told me that I had to pay for the shipping of six items back to the company even though I never ordered these items. I told them this was illegal on their part, and they told me to sue them if I wanted to. What an awful service! Instead of sending all, I decided to use one to maybe save the shipping cost. What a big mistake.

The item is very small. The cooking surface is equivalent to a size of a slice of bread cut into two pieces. It seemed to look so much bigger on TV infomercial. Maybe the people on the infomercial are tiny people to make...

GT Xpress 2 Trash
Garbage, complete garbage.

1st off, I was really angry at the cost of shipping/handling. I own my own business and I can tell you from experience that it should not cost that much for these services (there is even a quantity discount). It shouldn't cost more than $4.95 to ship this product.

2nd, you're charged another large amount for the second Xpress, and believe me, this should not be. I've ordered a lot of products that had to be shipped and the more you order the more you save and in most instances, you're not charged 1 cent more for more items.

3rd, you get two machines, but if you wanted to give one away for a gift (college student, friend or child) you have to order and buy and additional cookbook and accessories. Come on, these accessories are not a $50 value, they're probably only worth $6.00.

This product is a complete rip off to us as consumers. The informercial shows beautifully browned and evenly cooked meals, this is not the...

GTsoggy101 - it seemed like a good idea, but...
Very first of all: I've got nothing against TV infomercials, and I don't mind trying out things, and I don't expect them to work 100% as advertised or fine. For instance, I have bought the Magic Bullet, the king of infomercials, and like it a lot - it has a good niche and does well what it's supposed to do, even if the commercial overstated everything a bit.

So - when I saw the commercial for this item, I thought, why not? Basically, a waffle iron for breakfast and other food items - sounds like a good idea!

So I bought it. Now, after having received it, and after three days of trying out various meals and recipes, I can say: Not everything looking like a good idea is really one. There are several issues with the concept of a waffle iron for breakfast and other items.

Issue 1: The most important one. A waffle iron works well because it has a specific waffle mix filled in, which expands and gets browned. This is not the case with omelets, or most of the...

NORTON - SAINT GOBAIN ABRASIVES 87750-5 JD2 UTILITY FILE

Essential tool
Working in a trade that uses a knife all day a high quality sharpener is a must. This is
a great sharpener and used by many journeyman. One drawback is the size and
weight of the sharpener but still worth carrying around though.

*Caution* Protect this stone in some sort of sleeve or case because one drop is probably
all it will take before you have a whole lot of little sharpeners

Good sharpener
The grit is medium abrasive. Not so fine that it makes it hard to sharpen an knife. This is larger than I imagined it would be though. Hard to find room in the kitchen drawer for it.

Easy to Use
I had an antique version of this knife sharpener that was worn down and no longer effective. This new file plus my steel equals really sharp knives. Use the file the same way you use the steel and you will have sharp knives.

Maximatic TS738 Juice Extractor

Keep Away From Heat
Does a good job of juicing and it's hard to complain at this price, BUT the plastic lid and cup are made of such soft plastic that they deformed when they were a couple of inches from a hot toater oven. And they definitely are not dishwasher safe. This renedered the unit unusable. If you buy one keep it away from the heat.

Poor and unreliable quality
I bought this product during the weekend in Fry's. The first time I used for my carrot juice and I cut the carrots into pieces to fit in the chute. When I turn on the power, the juice container craked and leaked all over my countertop, which was a mess.

I tried to return to Fry's and it rejected because it was damaged. I tried to ask for the warranty replacement. The manufacturer rejected it claiming the container could be damaged in shipping or misuse or wash.

I have read through the instructions and make sure the vegetable is not to big for the machine to handle. However, the poor and unreliable quality of this product cannot even survive any vegetable.

I won't recommend this product if you want to use for vegetable juice at all. It is a "lousy" product.

Good product!
While it's not top of the line, this inexpensive has worked great for me! Its simple to use and easy to clean.

Proctor-Silex 25400 Meal Maker Sandwich Toaster

A very useful countertop appliance, versatile & time-saving
I recieved this item as a gift from my neighbors. It was a true gift because I would not have purchased something like this for myself. I eventually found many uses for this little electric grill. As mentioned in the editorial review above, this grill is useful for batter based foods as well as for making sandwiches. Because we prefer hot cake, I have found it very useful for making small snack cakes. Using a standard cake mix with ordinary preparation, the bottom half of the griddle can be filled with batter. The batter will expand to fill the top as it cooks. The additional batter can be refrigerated for use the next day. The same is true of corn bread, pancake mix, browny mix, etc. The best part is the fact that the cakes will cook in just a few minutes. Pre-heating takes only 3-5 mins, and cooking about 4-8 depending on what you are working with, considerable less than the time to bake in a full size oven. This unit is also a welcome addition to the arsenal when battling...

Difficult cleanup
I love grilled cheese and mini taco's of leftovers inside corn tortillas. But now, I use my George Foreman grill instead because:

1. Steam gets trapped and makes some sandwiches soggy.

2. I like the grill marks better on the GF grill.

3. Cleanup is a disaster if the filling spills over.

4. The non stick coating is fragile.

It all depends
If you are looking for a nice warm soft somewhat suggy sandwich this product definitely deserve five stars.

However if you like myself are looking for a sandwich with nice toasted and crunchy bread slices (even slightly burned would do) then this is not what you are looking for.

What a great little twinkie maker!
Okay, must admit I was skeptical when I ordered this, but I was very surprised! The twinkies are great! Even better than the packaged ones. It makes sense though, since they are fresh and do have any additives to extend shelf life. If you are looking for that Twinkie memory....you won't be disappointed.

BUNN DV APS Axiom Dual Voltage Airpot Coffee Brewer with LCD

Great brewer with a lot of control!
We own a small bakery and were using a coffee service for the last decade. I bought this brewer to cancel the coffee service and replace the older brewer that was supplied by them. I like the ability to control not only the amount of coffee being brewed but also the temperature. It only allows a single setting though-- I wish it had the ability to have two settings: one for regular and one for decaf. Another plus is the ability to shut the entire system down with a kill switch on the back. This way it isn't burning electricity keeping the water hot when we are closed.

Customizable and durable. We have 6 units
We have 6 of these units programmed identically for about 500 people in 6 kitchens. I've used them for 2 years now with little issue.
There are a lot of settings. Some are useful. Not all are well explained in the manual.

I highly recommend the BUNN DV APS Axiom Dual Voltage Airpot Coffee Brewer.

Pros
-Brews 3L of coffee in 4-7 minutes
-Plumbed (see below)
-Ability to change brew time, pressure, drip rate, brew strength, volume, drip time, temperature, etc
-Hot water dispenser
-Easy to clean
-Durable

Cons
-No setting to alert that a cycle has completed
-Unable to set temperature lower than 185 F
-Hot water dispenser can get stuck in the on position (rare and user error, but messy)

Want to install yourself?
Buy a 0.25 in female flare to 0.25 in male compression brass fitting when you get this. You will thank me later. It's the easiest way to plumb. It took us a long time to learn that...

Bunn brewers products rock
This product simply works. The programmable display and config is awesome. Buy with confidence. I used a 2.2 L airpot and it works well. Initially I configured it for USA, then reset everything to metric. The front hot water spout is very handy.

Technivorm KBG741 AO Red Metallic Moccamaster Glass Carafe Coffee Maker

Best coffee maker EVER
I purchased this coffee maker because of the review in Cooks Illustrated magazine. They described the coffee maker exactly as it works. I don't even grind my own beans and this coffee maker, makes awesome coffee. I had been using a Mr. Coffee product for years believing that they knew how to make a great coffee maker. They don't. Their coffee makers are cheap and make awful coffee. I always had to add cream and sugar to drink the stuff that came out of the Mr. Coffee product. Now I enjoy coffee the way it was intended to be consumed, PLAIN.
The instructions with this coffee maker recommend using a paper filter "because the gold filter get clogged with oil" and can lead to an overflow. I purchased a gold filter and clean it carefully every time I make coffee and have not had any problems.

Good, but probably not worth the expense.
We've used it for a month or so now. The parts seem flimsy and I am afraid something will break. The cord, however, is huge and industrial sized. Overall, good coffee, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra cost over my Cuisinart maker.

Best Coffee Maker!!!
I'll start by telling you, we're not coffee snobs....but we do like a good cup of coffee. We're not into the latte, cupachino, flavored fancy steamed frothy designer coffee. Up until recently our coffee maker had always supplied a consistently good cup of coffee. I did my diligence and researched coffee makers. What I found was that the Technivorm has been awarded for its consistent performance for the last several years.

So, I bit the bullet, paid a bit more and ordered this sporty red model. Out of the box it is a well made, beautiful kitchen accessory. It is so.....stylish. Everyone that sees it has to ask about it.

Here's my story:
I picked glass because I don't like stainless steel (I don't like to have to "warm" it and I think stainless imparts a funny taste).
I didn't go with the model that you can adjust the basket from open, to half-way, to closed. The reason: I don't want to "mess" around, I don't want to take chance of an overflow because...

Omega DH9090TW 9-Tray Dehydrator with 26 Hour Timer

Same as our Excalibur but with a timer and different exterior color
Side by side with our Excalibur dehydrator, this is identical in every way except the name on the label. They have to be the same manufacturer, just with a different brand label on them.

On my older review for the Excalibur my major complaint was that the unit didn't have a timer. Well, this dehydrator is identical to my old Excalibur except with a timer and white exterior vs. black. So for me, this is just great. I also prefer the white vs. the black, which seemed so much more industrial.

Functionally, they seem exactly the same as well, again, except for the Omega having the timer. I know that Excalibur has newer units with timers(mine is at least 3-4 years old)and you can also get them in white now as well.

Honestly, I think any differences between them would be price and if either included any of the silicone sheets to use on the shelves.

Summary: Virtually identical in every way to the Excalibur, so select based on the best deal you can...

Omega dehydrator is an excellent product
OK, let's clarify the amount of noise this machine puts out ... it is equivalent to the sound of the exhaust fan in our bathroom ceiling. It makes NO more noise than our dishwasher.

Yes, it's a bit distracting if you are watching TV, but it's nothing that should stop you from getting this 9-tray machine. (We moved it from our kitchen to our garage because we have a small kitchen and needed the counter space. The noise was not a deciding factor.)

It is absolutely WONDERFUL!

We dehydrate chicken and beef for ourselves, and for our dog, so that we NO LONGER have to purchase expensive, irradiated jerky made in China. We can season it however we want to, with ingredients that we can tolerate in our digestive tracts - in other words, we no longer suffer from gastric disturbances. We have also dehydrated pineapple rings and tomatoes.

It's easy and fun, plus saves money. We run a batch at least once per week, sometimes more.

I researched...

Fantastic Dehydrator
If you are looking for a large 9-tray dehydrator then the Omega might be just what you need. I have been dehydrating for over a year now using another well known 9-tray dehydrator. This Omega certainly is comparable to that dehydrator. The fan is placed in the back of the machine and allows the air to flow across all the trays. The booklet that comes with the dehydrator covers information on the machine itself plus instructions for food dehydration.

I put it through it's paces by dehydrating 9 trays of pineapple slices, 10 pounds of Roma tomatoes and 3 trays of fruit leather. In all cases everything came out perfect. The timer is a nice feature. You know how long the dehydrator needs to run to dry a specific food, this determined from the Dehydration Guide that came with the Dehydrator, then set the timer and walk away. When the time expires the dehydrator turns off.

Mine came with 9 Paraflex sheets. These worked perfectly for the fruit leather and any small...

Nostalgia Electrics KCP100 Kettle Corn Maker

Horrible to clean
This is my first review on Amazon, but I really felt like I needed to provide my two cents because as of now there aren't a lot of reviews on this product.

I was really excited about the possibility of having kettle corn at home. In theory this is a good product, but the reality is that I wouldn't recommend it. The kettle corn tastes good, but the machine is impossible to clean! You have to get out a screwdriver to take it apart every time you want to clean it (which will be every time you use it, especially for kettle corn). I have very small hands (my wedding ring is a size 4) and I can get my hand in through the opening in the top, but it is really awkward to try and wash it that way, especially if you accidentally scorch a batch of kettle corn and need to really scrub it.

We have a stove-top popcorn popper with a hand crank to stir the popcorn as it pops on the stove. You can make the same type of delicious kettle corn using the stove top popper with the...

Worst product ever
Serving size small. Awful mess to clean. Tastes horrible. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Given as a gift going to the trash later today.

Like the Cornballer, except not funny.
Unless you have "Nostalgia" for a time when products would cause you grave bodily harm, I wouldn't suggest this travesty of an invention.

Produces charred somehow stale "kettle corn" after a troublingly laborious process that includes a dance made of winces from being splattered by hot oil and sugar. Seriously, WTF.

Anyways, while there's nothing quite so reminiscent of the good old times as breathing in toxic fumes and defying death, I'd suggest staying away from this particular contraption unless you want to be reminded of how very fragile life can be.

Omega 8006 Juicer (Color: Chrome & Black) Plus Organic Wheatgrass Growing Kit: Combo Includes Omega Juice Machine & Wheat Grass Grow Kit - Kit Includes Trays, Seeds, Soil, Instructions & More.

HOLY MOLY I LOVE THIS JUICER!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
My husband and I went through three bigmouth juicers (one blew up (??) one blew out the little plastic piece that holds the clamp on, and one just went quiet and died after fifteen minutes of use. We also tried the Lalane and it was awful. We had to put the entire juicer on a box to raise it high enough to catch the juice, which comes out of a little hole an inch from the counter. Finally I got tired of it and bought the Omega 8006 with a fifteen year warranty. It's quiet enough you can talk and be heard while it's running, and though it's slower (slightly) it's really cool to watch do its thing. And I ended up with less than one fifth the refuse (goes in my compost pile) than with the other four juicers. Plus, I didn't even KNOW it makes nut butters and smoothies and pasta and flour....etc etc etc. And a free wheatgrass kit! I'm so happy I could do flips! Just wish I could paste my smile on here. : )))))

Well worth the money
This is my first juicer, and I've had it for two weeks now. I am very happy that I got this juicer. Here are some pro's and con's I've found.

Pros:
This thing is STURDY, all the pieces are high quality and very well made
It's quiet! My dishwasher is louder than this thing
The pulp is very dry, even on leafy greens
There is usually little to no foam on my juice
It takes about 45 seconds to clean this thing--No joke. It's so easy and there are only a few pieces to clean
It makes AMAZING banana "ice cream" by putting frozen bananas and fruit in it
It's pretty small and doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter
It juices everything from greens, to citrus, to hard veggies, plus makes other things besides juice.

Cons:
The feed tube is small and you have to cut things into smaller pieces
A lot of pulp from things like cucumbers, tomatoes, and broccoli end up in the juice, so I usually strain it
Prepping and...

Best investment in my health
I am new to juicing vegetables and fruits for health. I decided to buy this Omega 8006 with wheatgrass growing kid after doing a lot of research and for the following reasons; it is the model with one of the best warranties on the market with an amazing 15 years! I researched juicers able to handle wheatgrass juicing and not destroying the nutrients and this was the right one for the job. The fast and free shipping and the included wheatgrass kit to grown my own sold me. The first thing I did was to put it together, everything snaps in seconds and proceed to juice three celery sticks. I can't believe the quantity of juice I got from the celery. The smell was wonderful! I hate celery, but I just wanted to drink all the juice :-). Clean up was very easy, just snap off, rinse and wash with a mild soap and let it dry. I will update my review once I had the wheatgrass to juice.Buy this product it it worth it.

BELLA 13691 Deep Fryer, 0.9-Liter, Stainless Steel

Picture is very misleading
It's a small deep fryer for sure, but the picture kind of gives you the impression that you'll be able to fry a good sized personal portion of food - only you can't. The picture shows the strainer full of food, but the instructions clearly state that you shouldn't fill it more than 2/3rds of the way. I expected that much, but it's worse than it sounds:

I tried to make onion rings with it, and was only able to fit 3 in at a time, and the max fill line is so low that I actually have to turn them over to fry them completely. This setup wastes oil pretty badly. I was able to make the onion rings taste pretty good, but I could have done this much more efficiently using a small saucepan full of oil.

Perfect for One
I just used mine for the first time. I cooked some shrimp and they turned out well. I love the size. I don't feel like I'm wasting oil just cooking for one.

looks nice
I got this fryer since the other one I have is bigger and thought this would be nice to use for just me, after opening the box and setting it up, the light did not go on, and then the socket to the cord would not connect, after unplugging it, I tried again and then when I put the socket in the fryer to connect the socket went into the machine so I couldnt pry it through to try again, needless to say, I washed it after having put oil inside, and packed it up and returned it, its too bad it didn't work, maybe I just got a defective one.

Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Two-Temp Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator

Constant Beeping Noise after 3 months!
5/31/12: We absolutely love or should I say "loved" our Wine Enthusiast 24 Bottle Dual-Zone Wine Cooler Touchscreen Controls with Digital Display received as a gift in January.

In April, the bottom compartment started to beep on and off with the temperature light and interior light flashing, periodically over the past month. Unfortunately, in May it started to beep non-stop and the temp control got VERY cold! Sounds like the same issue as the previous commenter.

I have been attempting to contact Wine Enthusiast Customer Service for the past 2 weeks and I have never received a call or e-mail back. Very, very POOR service. Very, very disappointing! Now I am stuck with a wine cooler that does not work. Very frustrating.

Update as of 7/18/12: I reached out again to them today and spoke with a wonderful Customer Service representative, who immediately told me that they would send a replacement for the unit. It is on back order, so I will be waiting...

sleek look, bad circuit board.
I received this fridge as a gift. It's glitchy from the very start. The touch panel on the top would not register after 10 min of inactivity (but works again after unplugging and replugging). 3 months later, the bottom compartment started beeping every 5 seconds with the display and interior light flashing non-stop. pending a replacement.

--
update:
I called up Wine Enthusiast and they sent me a replacement. The replacement works like a charm. no more crazy beeping all night long. The best part of this whole event was that I got to drink some of the wines that would have otherwise been sitting around :-)

Do Not Buy, ITEMS ARE ALL DAMAGED!
I ordered one and it arrived broken at the hinge on the top door so I contacted Amazon for a replacement but it was so difficult chatting with the customer service rep, I requested for a refund. While searching for another wine fridge, I noticed this one dropped $50 so I took my chances and ordered it again... Big mistake! It arrived with the same damaged area, must be a flaw in the fridge design for the door to be broken like that without any damages to the packaging. I tried calling Wine Enthusiasts for a replacement door since I still like the looks of the unit and already have a spot saved for it in my new kitchen. I first spoke to the Wine Enthusiast customer service, who was kind of rude, but transferred me to their tech department. The tech department spoke to their amazon sales rep and told me they'll send me a replacement after I send them a picture of the damage and a copy of my invoice. A week later, no response so I contacted them, then they told me to get it from Amazon...

SMART CRUSHER Tobacco Pollen Herb Grinder Aluminum Grinder..fast Shipping

Works like a charm.
The separate compartments are efficient at herbal separation. The gears are sharp even a year later. This product comes fully recommended.

4" Chromium Crusher lives up to its name
This 4" herb grinder/crusher is much more effective than the 2" version that I had been using. It is fast and results in nicely sized herb pieces available in a convenient container. It is heavy and big enough that it is not likely to be tipped over by accident, but since it holds so much herb, I'd still recommend keeping the top on it when it is not in use. I haven't collected much pollen yet, but the screen looks pretty standard and I am sure it will work like the smaller one.

LOVE THIS THING!!!
Absolutely love this grinder. Never had a problem. Dropped many times with no issue. easy to clean. great product. makes ground pieces a bit big but good for packing. Also, this can be remedied by holding grinder upside down so herb doesn't fall through right away. magnet is VERY strong. No slips, no slides. Definitely recommend. BTW this was my first grinder. I expect to have it for a long time.

Blendtec Home HP3A 4-Side Blender, White

Great blender
I am very happy with this HP3A blender . I am not a vegetable eater but this blender allow me to have my daily intake of greens. I make carrot juice, cucumber juice, apple juice, strawberry ice cream and a lot more. Important thing to remember is to read instruction and put the ingredients in recommended order. The blender and the new jar which is BPA free now has a 3 year warranty. I have no problem with liquids spilling out while using this product. Cleanup is a breeze.

This product is pricey but it is worth it in my opinion.

Finally, a blender I won't have to replace in a year!
This machine is amazing. I'm convinced it will turn anything into a smooth liquid or paste. Just read the manual first for the best results. I love having a blender that I don't have to baby. I just put on the proper program setting and it speeds up and slows down to ensure the food is properly blended.

If I'm making a thick frozen fruit smoothie, sometimes I'll have to shake the container and blend again, but when that happens, it's my error since I'm making the smoothie too thick. I've never had to scrape down the sides making a smoothie, like every other cheap blender I've owned.

The container shape makes for very easy pouring, and even easier cleaning. I love that I can see under the blade to make sure the container is clean. I usually just rinse the container once or twice and run the lid under some water. Sometimes I'll blend a cup of water with a drop of dishsoap for a few seconds to clean it. It's so low-maintenance.

This will get me...

Amazing Blender!!!
This is an amazing blender!! Easy to use with the pulse on-off button, grinds ice/nuts in a second, not that loud, absolutley fantastic!! Well worth the price if you make smoothies, soups or nut pate's a lot.

Awesome product!

The machine every one MUST have Keurig® Platinum B70 Gourmet Single Cup Coffee & Tea Brewing System Added Value: 60 K-Cups & My K-Cup Reusable Filter

Super fast
The Keurig 48 oz single seerve brewer is super-fast and makes great coffee, tea, hot cocoa or hot cider. I love the ease of use and the wide variety of beverages you can make. It's no larger than our previous, traditional coffee maker and it accomodates everyone's tastes. Wonderful!

great with minor change
I rec. mine for Xmas and love it.The K cups are much neater then my old machines messy cup that I had to grind, fill and clean coffee grinds with. This you just drop in the K cup and remove it after,NICE,and the coffee is good. There are hundreds of flavors to choose from also.I only had one problem, every time I made a cup the tank would not fill back up and the word PRIME would appear.I did what the instructions said, cleaned the tank and filter screen even though it looked fine and it would work fine for a few cups then same thing again.I live at Lake Tahoe and our water is 99% pure yet something invisible was clogging the filter screen????? The screen is just to darn fine and gets clogged way to easy.I removed it with a small screw driver, very easy to do and now it works great. You do need to clean it once in a while by running white vinegar through it but this should be done with all coffee makers.

Love love love our Keurig
We are so thrilled with our Keurig. We were wondering if we should purchase it or not after having read some reviews. We decided to take the chance and man are we glad we did!! The coffee is excellent! The coffee is always hot and we have not had a good cup yet.

A few reviews have mentioned that high altitudes are a problem. We are at almost 6,900 feet above sea level and have not had a single problem with the K-cups or the performance of the machine. We are so glad that we made the decision to purchase this item.

Back to Basics Blender Express - White (BPE3WHITE)

Great Personal Blender
Awesome. I checked out several reviews and blenders and didn't know what to get. I just wanted a blender that would crush ice and frozen fruit really well without a mess, no leaks, and EASY to clean. This blender is PERFECT. I put in a cup of skim milk and then add frozen and/or fresh fruit and top off with a 1/2 cup of crushed ice. It is ready in 30 seconds! And it blends wonderfully! I don't use big ice cubes though, but it blends the crushed cubes and the frozen fruit like a breeze. I even add wheat germ and peanut butter, no problem! It has it's own cup which you mix the ingredients and when your done mixing you take it off the blender, flip it over, untwist the top and drink right out of the cup! It even has a drinking lid with a snap top. ALL you clean is the blade and when finished with the cup, clean that. TOTALLY easy and hassle free! In my life I need quick cleaning, and major convience... I make the smoothie, put the top on with a straw and go off to the pool...

what a convenient little blender
I bought this little blender at Costo after tasting a smootie during a demonstration and I needed a blender, so I got this one because it was just the right size for me.

I find it very convenient as the container become the drinking mug with an handle and storing cover. very practical. the size is just right for one or 2 persons. It works so well with frozen fruits and blend perfectly and quickly. It is not too noisy and it is small so it is easy to store on a counter top.

The kit that I got came with 2 mugs but I understand not all packages have the 2 mugs as some kits come with only one mug. Mugs can be bought separatly though. I mention that so if you buy online it is best to verify if you want the kit with 2 mugs.

The blender is very easy to use and fast to clean. Is is also safe and mess free to use. At first I thought that the hole in the cover was not aligned properly as it is on the side rather than on the opposite side of the handle (in...

Great personal-sized blender!
I bought this yesterday, and I love it. Mixed milkshakes with ease, and really frothed up my chocolate milk at lunch today. Easy to clean, does not leak, chops ice well, and there's a travel lid to take the place of the blades when you're done blending. My only complaint is that the manufacturer didn't design the travel lid so that the opening you sip from would line up properly so you can hold the mug by the handle and drink. It's kind of hard to explain; too bad I can't draw what I mean! (-: Otherwise I would have given this blender 5 stars.

Toastess Electric Jug Kettle, White

robinpop
This little kettle is just what you get for the money. No hype, no nonsense. Just a good electric kettle that boils water
I find it takes 10 mins. to boil the water, but what do you expect for 29 bucks. I would liked to have know that the cord does not detach at all, which makes filling it and using it to pour water difficult.

Not reliable.
Pretty good as kettle.
But on/off button is unreliable.
Mine died in 1 month.

Just what I was looking for:
Works great! Affordable! I love the fact it shuts itself off after the water boils. Heats fast. Safe for use at home or work. It works just as well as the higher priced models.

Lansky Cold Steel Knife Sharpener (Colors May Vary)

Very handy
A dull knife is a useless and dangerous tool. It will require greater pressure to be placed on the item being cut and that can ruin fruits and vegetables, plus possibly cause the knife to accidentally slip and cut you. This compact little sharpener is small and light enough to be carried in a pocket, plus it will do the work of a standard home size sharpener without the unnecessary bulk. All types of serrated edges are easily sharpened in a jiffy. Another very useful piece of equipment brought to us by Lansky and Cold Steel. Lansky Cold Steel Knife Sharpener

It does what its supposed to do....
Hey, I love my Cold Steel Recon knives ... and this is the only sharpener to take care of its serrations without doing one at a time.

Of course, if you don't own any cold Steel serrated knives, then I highly recommend you don't buy this :-)

Does what it should
I bought this for the serration pattern on my Cold Steel medium combo voyager tanto. And it sharpend the tiny serrations, and I use a diamond rat tail for the larger serrations.

George Foreman RC0995P 20-Cup Smart Kitchen Multicooker with Intelli-Probe Digital Controls

More Than Just a Rice Cooker
George Foreman is known for marketing functional and convenient products that help people prepare healthy meals. This product is no exception.

This product is basically a large rice/grain, vegetable, and meat cooker. It took me a little while to figure out what to use it for, and the manual wasn't much help. The main unit of the cooker is a big, non-stick pot. It comes with a steaming tray that fits inside the main unit. The product also includes a lid, measuring cup, serving paddle, plastic base, and a digital control unit that plugs into the wall.

Here is how it works. To begin, you pan fry whatever needs fried, such as meat. There are a variety of temperature settings, from warm (180 degrees) to sear (close to 500 degrees). After the frying is done, you add water, rice, and whatever other ingredients you need for the recipe. Then you set the unit to cook the mix. There are "brown rice," "other rice," and "steam" settings.

My wife and I decided to...

Handy and compact
I was confused about what this cooker was until I actually cooked in it. Why? Because nothing I read about it made it clear what its kitchen niche was supposed to be. Slow cooker? Nope. Rice cooker? Well yeah, but not entirely. Steamer? It does that, too. In fact it does a lot of things and does them pretty well. One thing it doesn't do well, though, is explain itself.

The manual is less than useless. It's careful to tell you to wash all the cooking parts before using, but never is clear on what is machine washable and what isn't. (I just assumed everything but the pot itself was okay for the dish washer. So far so good.) It also says "To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in removable pan provided." Um... what? Did they think I was going to put the lid on my stove and try to cook in it? Okay, never mind the manual. Seriously, it's worth one quick run through to check that you've got all the parts and see how they fit together (assuming you can't...

COOKINEX 7-Piece Durable Electric Donut Maker

Donut maker
I got it as a gift and it was a hit. My kids love to eat it and decorate it too!

Yummy donuts
I gave this donut machine to my teenage grandson for Christmas. He sent me a Facebook message saying it makes amazing donuts! He rated it as 5 stars.

Good for small donuts
This product arrived in as described; works well. I have made donuts using a cake mix; have not tried the traditional batter yet, but look forward to making different donuts. It makes mini donuts, not the standard size ones. Good price for the product.

Mr Bar B Q 06115X Non-Stick Self-Basting Chicken Roaster

Great way for a chicken to leave this world!
I'll keep it brief. The wide base makes it much more stable than some roasters. The beer can holder can of course be used for anything wet or dry to flavor your chicken. The vented base is big enough to hold a lot of whatever you decide to put in it. And last, it's pretty sturdy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish the metal were just a little heavie gauge.

Why spend money on a beer can chicken holder??
My husband asked me that question once, so I didn't buy it.

Then after we had to replace parts of half the grill after an unstable beer can supported chicken toppled over and dumped all the grease from the can into the grill, setting the entire thing, including the propane line which melted the tank valve, on fire, he said "why didn't we just buy a beer can chicken holder?"

Good grief. Save yourself the possible headache (and the near-property damage), and just use this. Heck, it's cheaper to just buy this than it will cost us to replace the now-empty fire extinguisher.

Good, but flawed.
I want to give the verticle roaster more stars, because it's good, but it has one flaw the maker should fix. The roaster comes in two pieces, the base - great for roasting veggies - and a cone that the chichen sits on. The problem is that the cone is too big. I tried it with a rather largish chicken and the cone made the chichen stand up so high, it touched the lid of my barbeque grill. I'll try it with a smaller chichen, although the chichen may not fit on the cone. It was hard enough getting the larger chichen to fit.

It would be better if the cone was either shorter or narrower or both. I think it should also have holes in the cone, so the steam from the beer or other liquid used would enter through the sides of the cone as well as the top.

Breville Blender Jar Outer Lid with Ring Pull

Inexpensive part replacement
I love my Breville brender but the lid went missing. Checking on Breville's site, it's slightly more expensive when you add the shipping so buying on Amazon was a good alternative (and the shipping is faster too). The part is identical to the one that came in the original box. The only caveat is that it doesn't include the plastic insert in the middle which is an extra $2.

Breville RM-BTA820XL Certified Remanufactured Die-Cast 2-Slice Smart Toaster

Warranty In Question....
I just received the Breville RM-BTA820XL Certified Remanufactured 900-Watt Smart 2-Slice Toaster. My reason for ordering Remanufactured was saving $40 over new and the Amazon Warranty was the same as new...1 Year. Imagine how surprised I was when the warranty card in the instruction book indicated it was only 90 days. I love the toaster so far. Many improvements over the one purchased over 15 years ago. Will have to think this one over.

"Cadillac" of Toasters
I had been looking for a new toaster for a couple of months and really wanted this Toaster. Unfortunately, the price for the brand new one seemed like a huge amount of money ($116.99 Amazon Price) $160 List Price. I couldn't imagine paying that much for a toaster! Then I happened upon the Remanufactured model. I am a real believer in Reman/Refurb products and have been fortunate to get great products for a fraction of the "New" one.

The info was that some may have cosmetic problems, i.e. scratches etc. Mine came in perfect condition cosmetically and works like a dream. It truly has all the "bells and whistles". So far it has produced perfect toast with consistent browning "up and down and all around". It has many different toast selection so everyone should be able to find their preference. The automatic up and down and the ringing bell work great.

If you have been eying this toaster I highly recommend the Remanufactured model. I have NO complaints and...

This is the best toaster I have ever used.
After a bunch of poor quality toasters over the years, this Breville is better than I ever thought one could be! It is stylish and very well made of high quality materials and works like a dream. It makes perfect, evenly browned, toast and is a pleasure to use. Bagels and English muffins toasting is also excellent. It is even fun to watch. Lowers the toast automatically and holds the bread evenly spaced from each side so toasting is evenly done. Can toast a bagel on one side only. Does everything and does it well. Rare to find a product that greatly exceeds your expectations. Well worth the money. When you get one you will see why it costs more and is worth it. Highest possible recommendation. Amazon shipping was a whiz, as usual.

Weston 08-0801-W Number 8 Commercial Meat Grinder, 1/2 HP

Not what I expected......
I would give Weston's customer service a 5 star rating, but not for this grinder. I purchase this grinder on June 11, 2013, received the grinder within two business days later, and as of today, I can not grind a boneless chicken thigh without it getting clogged. There's no problem grinding the meat; the ground meat just backs up into the Auger in the grinding head until the head gets so that full the excess meat gets stuck between the grinding knife and the grinder plate. It's almost as if the grinder is operating in reverse, even though it does not have a reverse function. So, every time I ground a chicken thigh, I would have to remove the grinding head, scoop up the ground meat in the head, clean the Auger and knife and then unclog the grinder plate. Well after several telephone calls to Weston's customer service, they are sending me a new grinding head and parts to the head. I have to say this grinder certainly does not live up to the Weston brand name. Their customer service was...

Just keeps on grinding
Oct. 2013. We got this grinder to grind a large amount of meat on one day and it performed flawlessly. It took about 9 hrs. to do 450 lbs. of beef ground twice. It never even slowed down. We have only used it that one time so far but it sure seems like it will be able to do anything we could want to do. I read some reviews before getting it and they talked about grinding bones, but we didn't use it for that, so I wouldn't be able to comment on whether it could do that or not. The only issue we have had, is when we got it, my husband wanted to clean it thoroughly to get it ready to go and he took the cover off the machine and when he put it back on and tried to turn it on it didn't do anything. He got to looking at the manual and discovered that all the pictures inside the manual show the cover situated with the handle to the back and that is how he put it on, but upon further inspection he found that one of the handle bolts sits right on a part of the motor that keeps it from...

Oster Food Processor 10 Cup (220 volt) Will NOT work in the USA

This vendor is ethically challenged
I ordered this product for my daughter who lives in Europe. Sent it on to her without opening. Few weeks later I visited her there, and to my surprise instead of the 10 cup unit I ordered for $95.00 dollars I had received a 3 cup unit worth $30.00.
I bought the unit home with me to the US and contacted ghandi appliance. I did not have the original box so they were unwilling to help in anyway even though THERE IS A $65.00 DIFFERENCE IN PRICE between the units. Initially the problem was no box and then the 90 days was up. SO CASE CLOSED. Not at all willing to look at the fact originally the problem was that they sent the wrong unit. Bye the way the little 3 cup device is very underpowered and pretty useless.

6 Cup Rice Cooker

Great Quality
I got this for christmas 2011, so it lasted over a year! Still going strong! The only cons are that the built in measuring function isn't too accurate and every-now-and-then the starch boils overboard and I have to lift up the top to make it stop...but now that I've been rinsing the rice with water it doesn't happen often. I cook rice just for me, I use long grain white rice (1 cup), 1 1/2 cup of water, a sprinkle of salt and a tablespoon of butter.

great little rice cooker
I bought this rice cooker and didn't expect it would cook brown rice well since it cost so little. Nice surprise! It cooked it perfectly. I rinse 1 cup of short grain brown rice, put it in the pot, add 2 1/2 cups water. I set the cooker on newspaper because it does sputter and will mess up the counter top. It takes about 45 minutes. Sometimes I add a tablespoon or two more water when it is in the warm setting and waiting to be served. It has never failed me.

A little rinky-dink.
The construction of this rice cooker is somewhat questionable. Be careful when using this item, sometimes it stays on warm instead of setting to cook. Great for white rice, not so much for brown rice. Would not leave this product unattended as rice does need to be stirred or you will end up with burned rice on the bottom of the metal pot.

I like it for easily cooking small amounts of white rice. Unfortunately, I can get better results using the microwave or my old steamer for something more delicate like sushi rice.

Oster 6642 12-Speed Blender, White

Not sure which blender the *other* reviewers were using....
Alright, so this isn't the *best* blender in the world. Not even close. But it's cheap, it's rugged, and it works perfectly well at most tasks. It chops, blends, and mixes just fine (and says it can also "grate", "puree", "shred", "cream", "chop", "grind", "whip", and "liquefy"). I've never had any problems crushing ice or making frozen drinks with mine -- although I'll admit that it will get jammed on big chunks of ice (more of a problem with the pitcher than the blender, I think... it just can't chop them effectively if they're too big to fit between the blades and the edge of the pitcher, or if they get stuck there). It's also (as the first reviewer noticed) not great at making milkshakes, since it just thrashes the bottom of it like crazy instead of mixing it -- but I'll bet it works a lot better if you replace the blade with the "Milkshake Blade" accessory that it talks about in the owner's manual. Mine has easily survived several years of use and abuse, including having a...

Great blender, AMAZED at the many 1 stars not Osters fault!
People who gave this blender 1 star, do you have any common sense? The paragraphs below address most if not all 1 star review issues:

When you use the rubber gasket, you don't have to tighten the bottom to such an extreme that you crack it! Moderately tightening it is enough and it goes on the side of the blades not on the opposite side of the blades or else all the liquid will spill no matter how much you tighten it!

ALL blenders are difficult to clean, not just this one since they're all made with blades, rubber gaskets and glass or plastic jars. You would have to write a bad review of all blenders since they're all made in the same hard to clean way!

What you are smelling is not "burnt" smell it is probably the new smell of the motor along with the lubricant and it is not a strong smell at all. It goes away with time. Your saying you purchased another one and it had the same smell proves that it is normal. The motor needs to ventilate or it...

Be sure to get the one with the glass blender jar!
Before this one, I owned another Oster blender that had a plastic jar. It accidentally fell off the countertop and it cracked. The plastic jars also scratch easily and just aren't very durable!

So be sure you get the glass jar. Also, having the extra-powerful motor is good too. I only use a couple of different speeds, so I don't think more speeds are important, however.

This blender works well, however you do sometimes have to stick something in there to get the top of your concoction well-mixed in with the rest of it. But that's probably the case with most blenders.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because though the jar is dishwasher safe, you're still supposed to handwash the other parts. Blenders are great, but they're a pain to clean!

Hog Wild Idea Kitchen - Talking Moo Mixer

Our grandkid loves it
This is a very handy device for the do-it-yourself choco-milk mixer kid. We had a similar model before and the mixer blade came loose and wouldn't stay on (newton's law and all of that). So we bought this one to replace it.

Cudos to the mfg who decided to require separate batteries (in the handle) for the "Mooooo" sound. Even our grandkid got tired of that sound right away, so I was able to remove the batteries for the sound and still leave the mixer working (whose batteries are under the screw-off bottom of the cup).

Just get it you'll love it
Okay I've had this thing for quite some time now and it works perfectly. It does exactly what it says it will do, no sludge in the bottom, and simple and works great. Instead of following the cleaning instructions though just put hot water in it and hit the button it works great. You'll be happy you bought it I know I am.

cute but cheap quality
Very cute and my kids love it but the there is a lack of quality that I just can't ignore.
Among others what bother in most is that the bottom lid that is "supposed" to protect the batteries never closes properly leaving the batteries exposed.

KRUPS XP2280 Espresso Machine and Coffee Maker Combination with KRUPS Precise Tamp Technology and Stainless Steel Housing, Silver

GREAT MACHINE FOR THE PRICE
I was searching for a budget minded machine in the $350 price range that would be a combination espresso/coffee maker and stumbled upon the XP2280. mind you, I am a novice machine purchaser but avid coffee lover. I liked the overall appearance of the XP2280 and simplicity of the design and controls. I searched the internet for a review and alas there were none. I took a chance and bought it and am very satisfied thus far. It makes a very good cup of coffee with #4 cone filters, although a gold tone should be and was not included in the purchase. I also programmed it to start brewing before I wake up, VERY NICE. I would have been more satisfied with an extra two cups of coffee, my previous coffee maker being a 12 cup, but the coffee it does make is great tasting. The espresso side is literally idiot proof with the built in tamper system and makes a fine one or two serving with either scoops or the option of ESE pods (44mm Dia. 7g size). I used the Illy dark roast and it made two...

Original Froth Part was Replaced with Re-Designed Part!
I received this item as a Christmas gift. It looks beautiful on my counter top and for the first month it worked flawlessly. Other reviews are accurate concerning confusing instructions but once you figure out how it works, it works well.

The biggest issue is the frothing nozzle, MS-622874, broke within the first month. The internal assembly is plastic with a metal sheath. After my machine wouldn't froth milk the way it used to, I opened it up to clean it to notice that the threaded plastic assembly broke. This must be due to the high heat temperatures that can occur in the steaming process. When I try to purchase a replacement (ranges from $11 to 20 online) I cannot find one in stock ANYWHERE! This is a key part that works on several of Krups' cappuccino machines and its lack of availability (including from he Krups store itself) leads me to believe this is a very widespread problem!

The unit did come with an alternative device that attaches and still...

Krups may just be a thing of the past...
It is so rare that I take the time to write a review but I feel I must to prevent others from buying this machine and with the hope that the former excellent manufacturer sees how disappointed I am with this product. I am not a novice espresso maker and in fact had an older model Krups combo coffee / espresso machine for more than 10-years previous to this. That machine was so good, brewed perfect coffee, espresso and froth milk without a problem or touchy process.

Let me start by saying what I love about this machine - THE LOOKS (lipstick on a pig???), the little compartment for the coffee spoon and the release button for used espresso grounds. These items do not have a thing to do with brewing or making a good coffee drink.

The machine I have does not make very hot coffee, it's very warm but not super hot. As for the espresso and frothing capability - they just don't work according to the VERY fragmented instructions. There are so many references to...

Breville RM-BOV800XL Certified Remanufactured Smart Oven 1800-watt Convection Toaster Oven

Terrific Toaster Oven
Cheaper by far than a new item and arrived in beautiful condition, and is working quite well. The outside of the oven does get quite hot, so might not be appropriate for households with young children. Its also a bit strange that the oven as fancy as it is does not have a timer function as a typical microwave does (good for timing cooling off of items).

A side note about remanufactured items -- my parents once worked for a Large American electronics & appliances firm (NOT Breville), my father in fact worked on a line that handled returned items. I can pass on from them that large manufacturing firms DO NOT put every item that is packaged to sell through any quality control (big surprise), it would be too expensive, at best they check a few items per lot. If there is a manufacturing problem with items due to defective parts or defective assembly, it usually doesn't get caught before the items go out for shipping (which can result in a large percentage of returned...

Indistinguishable from a new unit
The unit arrived in perfect condition - shiny and clean, indistinguishable from a new unit.

Works superbly so far, and when I pointed out the original description of "1-year warranty" against the actual "90-day warranty" that comes with the unit, Amazon promised to cover the remaining 9-months period, effectively making good on the original description. (I'm keeping that email as a written proof...)

All-in-all, very satisfied with the price and condition of the unit.

Good as new, nothing wrong with this
This is my 2nd Toaster Oven by Breville that is remanufacturerd. The first one we bought 1yr ago and still works great, decided to get another one for our 2nd house. This one works great as well. No issues with these remanufactured toaster ovens.

Only issue I have is more design related (but Im not knocking a star off for this). The plug on this toaster oven is huge. Has this very large plastic molded portion around the plug with a hole to help you "pull" the plug out. Great, sounds great. But it causes the Toaster Oven to sit that much further away from the ball wall. Almost 3" away. Wish they made this more right angle or got rid of that large plastic molded piece and just made the plug a regular plug like every other kitchen appliance. Look at the picture section where I put up a picture showing the plug (and a dollar bill) to show how far it sits away from the wall now.

Hamilton Beach 63221 Eclectrics Sugar White Stand Mixer 4.5-qt.

I love it!
This product is a great buy. It is cheaper than the KitchenAid brand, but is just as good, if not better. The three year warranty gives you peace of mind much more than the one year warranty offered by KitchenAid. My husband and I went back and forth on whether or not we would purchase a stand mixer because he didn't think we needed it, but I knew I would use it. Since purchase I've used it a couple of times a week or more, it is very handy, easy to use, and works wonderfully. I have no reservations about recommending this product to anyone!

much better than KitchenAid
Hi,

After searching in internet, reading numerous reviews, and checking with Consumer Reports and BBB, I changed my mind getting KitchenAid and switched to Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer. I have it now, I purchased it in a store. It has great features for 4.5 qt: 400 watt, 12 speeds, all metal made, and 3 year warranty!!! comparing 1 year in KitchenAid with 10 speeds and 250 watt for 4.5 qt.
I am very pleased with Hamilton's QUIET performance even at the higher speed. It's in fact quieter than my hand mixer and has a friendly sound. I didn't scrape any single time when making the 3.5 c dough.

It's slightly bigger than KitchenAid, about 1 inch higher, but it's somehow lighter and easy to move on counter. Easy to use, the head tilts back by pressing back button smoothly. The bowl sits reliably.

I am endlessly happy that I got Hamilton instead of KitchenAid.

This is the best stand mixer so far!!! Even if it more expensive than KitchenAid,...

Surprisingly Happy
I bought this mixer as the floor model from Sam's Club, at a great price. It was missing the pouring shield, and the instruction book. I've been very pleased with it's performance, and don't feel at all like I sold out my dream of a Kitchenaid 5 plus 5. I'm most impressed with their customer service. I called and told them about the missing items, and they told me where to get the intruction manual online, and immediately shipped me the splatter guard (which I already had) and pouring shield, no questions asked. I've never had Kitchenaid service like that. I'm very impressed.

Norpro Old Time Popcorn Popper

Very Fragile
I Bought this product 2 month ago and we use it 2 times a week.At tyhe beggining works fine but after 3 uses the springs of the lid started to bar. Also after several uses the blade that rotate the corn inside starter to twist.
I was looking for a long term popcorn popper , but this is not the one.

Disasterous
When I first purchased this popper, I was impressed with its stability. But after using it, I found some things that did not impress me. First, the metal gears on top would often not work and the internal paddle would not turn. The kettle is soft aluminum and bends easily, which of course affects how the lid fits. Finally, the popcorn just didn't tast very good. I suggest saving your money and refraining from this very low-qauality item.

No problems with this Popper
I purchased this popper over 3 years ago and it's popped great popcorn every time and I use it once of twice a week. I purched this popper because of it's metal gears. The plastic gears on the popper I had before broke within months. The only thing is the lift handle can work loose but you just push the metal tab back in to tighten it back up. This product works fine if you know how to pop popcorn.

This arepa maker is exactly what we were looking for. As other reviewers noted the arepas are thin and not like the Venezuelan style arepa. While slightly thicker than the Colombian arepa it is more similar to Colombian style arepa than the thicker Venezuelan style. They still can be slit open and stuffed but care needs to be taken. Why 4 stars? As another reviewer noted the handle lock seems a bit flimsy but time will tell if it will hold up to use. The unit heats up very quickly and makes a great evenly baked arepa with a crispy exterior in 6 min. In our view it was worth the purchase.

Best arepas ever!
Very good product. I prepare Colombian style arepas and they came out just perfectly "golden" and crispy both sides.
I truly recommend it.

Over-heated
I had high hopes for this arepa-maker but was sorely disappointed. It got way too hot burning the arepas before they were entirely cooked. Also, the construction is not sound. Lid is wobbly. Needless to say, I returned it. Refund was prompt.

ROSHCO SMORES MAKER, INDOOR OR OUTDOOR

FUN and very nice set!!!
A coworker bought this fugly Hershey's one from Sam's Club and it was huge and very cartoonish. I wanted something fun for the kids that also looked nice enough to set out with adults. This smores maker works great, the whole thing is on a lazy susan which adds to its appeal. I'm very happy with it and so are my kids! We had Thanksgiving smores and they were a hit : ) I set out long bamboo skewers for kebabs instead of using the metal forks, then more people could use it without having to wash the forks between each person.

Wolfgang Puck Toaster Oven Broiler with Convection

Don't bother
Received as a gift so I tried really hard to cut it some slack. The person that gave it to me had no idea what a complete pile of junk it is.

First problem, the outside gets HOT HOT HOT. I think it was designed to do this so you could use it as a warming tray or something, but most people cram this onto their counter and pile the usual counter junk around it. After melting a number of plastic items, I created a "safety space" around it.

Second problem, apparently all the heat goes to the outside because it takes FOREVER to heat up the inside. I've never had a toaster oven take so long to get to operating temperature.

Third problem, door refused to close all the way after barely a weeks use. Invented a number of different pounding techniques to try to get the door to close all the way with varying degrees of success. The door constantly grates open and closed. I don't know what they put together as a hinge mechanism but whatever it is doesn't work...

great while it still works
The oven works better than expected as a toaster and is overall a pretty handy device, at least for the three weeks it worked before it died. Does anything built in china stay working for very long?

Excellent Counter Oven!
First of all, let me say that I am a big lover of Convection Ovens. For those that don't know what that means: it means that there is a fan inside the oven that circulates the hot air for faster and move even cooking.

This little oven has that! And I love it. My last tabletop oven did not, I didn't even know it was available for tabletop ovens. My built-in oven is a Convection oven and I had to power it up even if I wanted to make half a dozen cookies. With the smaller convection oven available I can cook smaller meals more conveniently.

The 2nd excellent feature of this oven is the slow cooking option. I am going to retire my slow cooker! The stuffed peppers I made in this oven turned out so much better than in the slow cooker. The oven is large enough for a medium size casserole dish with a lid on. I was impressed!

I have had this oven now for 2 months. I used daily. Multiple times per day - toasting bread, warming up food, making fresh cookies every...

Coffee Tea and Soup Warmer

hot & happy
Bought this for my husband who hates to have his coffee cold before the newspaper's half read. This cup works the best of all we've tried. I knew when it said it would keep soup warm that it was not just a " candle Warmer" like alot of them are. I'm delighted not to hear any more complaining. Thanx.

Coffee mug warmer
This product works better than others I have tried in the past. Like most warmers, I wish it held the temp just a little bit warmer. Easy to use and detect if it is turned on. Good choice among the products out there.

Very Good buy
I was kinda wondering when I ordered this, if it would do what I needed it to. Well, I have had it about a week now, and I am delighted with it. It keeps my coffee warm,(almost hot) all day if I need it to. I would suggest anyone needing one of these, to buy this one, it is a very good product.

KitchenAid KHM926 9-Speed Hand-Held Mixer

Disappointed
My wife had wanted one of the Kitchenaid hand mixers for years. She has had great results with her full-size table-top Kitchenaid mixer which still runs great after 15 years. The previous models of the Kitchenaid hand mixer have had great review for years, but the new model of the hand mixer is made in China and is a different story. When the hand mixer arrived one of the beaters would not eject from the mixer, and the other beater wobbled when running. The new unit is very light weight, does not seem very sturdy, has plastic gears rather than metal gears like previous models, and what appears to be chromed metal is actually chromed plastic. My wife had me to return the Kitchenaid hand mixer.

Well built and quite mixed
This mixed feels well balanced and well made. You always start from low speed and can increase your speed from 0 all the way to 9. It is nice that you can stop at any speed by pressing off button and the mixer will gradually slow down and stop. It is by far the quietest mixer I ever owed.

A Great Product
I ordered this for my niece's wedding gift...I it THE MOST used appliance in my kitchen, except perhaps the coffee maker. I've owned a KitchenAid hand mixer for over 25 years and only had to replace it once, after it was dropped! This is a good, powerful, small way to make fluffy whipped cream, cookie dough, and even cake batter. Easy clean-up, especially when considering getting out my huge KitchenAid stand mixer. There are some recipes that this little baby just can't handle, so for those you do need the big stand mixer. Love this product and love giving it to new brides...they will enjoy using it for years to come.

Danby DWC612BLP 75 Bottle Wine Cooler - Platinum

Detailed Review of Danby DWC612BLP 75 Bottle Wine Cooler
In choosing a wine cellar/cooler I bought the largest model I could get with some style, and price was important, so Danby got my business.
Here's a little info good and bad on the unit I got (and note that I am happy with the unit and would recommend it, but I'm also not blind to the shortcomings which would certaily affect other's decisions) :

+ Danby DWC612BLP from BigBuyCity on eBay (for example current item on 10/23/2006 #180041697894) for $488+$129.90(shipping)=$617.90 (pretty good deal for 75 bottle system...(was $600 total a few months ago but I see they raised the shipping so a bit more)

+/- Freestanding (not a build-in) which is what I wanted, and the "BLP" model has the coils on the back of the unit. I think that they make another one that has the coils underneath so you can put it up closer to a wall.

- Stupidly noisy compressor. It's a small little Samsung model...but I don't know why it is not more quiet (it might be the system...

I'm pleased with it ...
I am pleased with this wine cooler. My collection had grown to the point where I needed somewhere temp regulated to store my wine.

PROS
* As mentioned by others, the unit is very nice looking; especially with the wooden shelves.
* Freestanding with rollers on the back to make it easy to move if needed
* Door is very solid and seals well with the magnetic strip

CONS
* Noisy ... I was planning on putting this unit in the garage anyway but if you are thinking about putting in the house, might want to reconsider.
* The spacing between the rows of bottles is very VERY tight. Couple this with the fact that the shelves do not slide out and you have a difficult time seeing what is on each row. I ended up buying bottle tags.
* I've not had the problem of the temp setting resetting itself on power loss but if that would happen, that would suck.

Danby 75 bottle- Good for the average wine.
75 Bottle Wine Cooler (Black with Platinum Door Trim) (58 13/15"H x 23 5/8"W x 25 11/16"D)

I bought the Danby Cooler through another retailer in Houston, and got a great deal. It looks nice, has good storage, but is definitely a bargain cooler.

1st) The temperature varies by about + or - 5 degrees, for a total fluctuation of 10 degrees! I think this is a non-issue for the average wine, but I think it would likely not be best for real collectors.

2) Noisy compressor.

3) Shelves not easy to slide, etc. Wooden shelves look nice, though.

4) Overall, a great bargain buy.
