Wolfgang Puck Toaster Oven Broiler with Convection

Don't bother
Received as a gift so I tried really hard to cut it some slack. The person that gave it to me had no idea what a complete pile of junk it is.

First problem, the outside gets HOT HOT HOT. I think it was designed to do this so you could use it as a warming tray or something, but most people cram this onto their counter and pile the usual counter junk around it. After melting a number of plastic items, I created a "safety space" around it.

Second problem, apparently all the heat goes to the outside because it takes FOREVER to heat up the inside. I've never had a toaster oven take so long to get to operating temperature.

Third problem, door refused to close all the way after barely a weeks use. Invented a number of different pounding techniques to try to get the door to close all the way with varying degrees of success. The door constantly grates open and closed. I don't know what they put together as a hinge mechanism but whatever it is doesn't work...

great while it still works
The oven works better than expected as a toaster and is overall a pretty handy device, at least for the three weeks it worked before it died. Does anything built in china stay working for very long?

Excellent Counter Oven!
First of all, let me say that I am a big lover of Convection Ovens. For those that don't know what that means: it means that there is a fan inside the oven that circulates the hot air for faster and move even cooking.

My built-in oven is a Convection oven and I had to power it up even if I wanted to make half a dozen cookies. With the smaller convection oven available I can cook smaller meals more conveniently.

The 2nd excellent feature of this oven is the slow cooking option. I am going to retire my slow cooker! The stuffed peppers I made in this oven turned out so much better than in the slow cooker. The oven is large enough for a medium size casserole dish with a lid on. I was impressed!

I have had this oven now for 2 months. I used daily. Multiple times per day - toasting bread, warming up food, making fresh cookies every...
