6 Cup Rice Cooker

Great Quality
I got this for christmas 2011, so it lasted over a year! Still going strong! The only cons are that the built in measuring function isn't too accurate and every-now-and-then the starch boils overboard and I have to lift up the top to make it stop...but now that I've been rinsing the rice with water it doesn't happen often. I cook rice just for me, I use long grain white rice (1 cup), 1 1/2 cup of water, a sprinkle of salt and a tablespoon of butter.

great little rice cooker
I bought this rice cooker and didn't expect it would cook brown rice well since it cost so little. Nice surprise! It cooked it perfectly. I rinse 1 cup of short grain brown rice, put it in the pot, add 2 1/2 cups water. I set the cooker on newspaper because it does sputter and will mess up the counter top. It takes about 45 minutes. Sometimes I add a tablespoon or two more water when it is in the warm setting and waiting to be served. It has never failed me.

A little rinky-dink.
The construction of this rice cooker is somewhat questionable. Be careful when using this item, sometimes it stays on warm instead of setting to cook. Great for white rice, not so much for brown rice. Would not leave this product unattended as rice does need to be stirred or you will end up with burned rice on the bottom of the metal pot.

I like it for easily cooking small amounts of white rice. Unfortunately, I can get better results using the microwave or my old steamer for something more delicate like sushi rice.
