Beautiful and functional
I purchased this to use at the office. I go in early so that my partner and I can split child care duties during the workday, and I leave the coffee pot set up for him in case the little one wakes up early.
I looked at a couple of different brands of drippers before selecting this one for its color and also because it only has one drainage hole at the bottom. I also purchased a permanent cone filter. After using both the permanent filter and one of the paper filters that came with my order, I highly recommend using the paper filter as it results in stronger coffee. With the permanent filter the water drains to quickly and results in weak coffee. The paper filter will press down against the bottom of the dripper and help slow the flow of water to ensure good brew time. Additionally, since the paper filter also sticks to the inside of the dripper, this also helps to slow the flow of water to ensure good brew time.
I use four coffee scoops of grounds for about 16 oz...
