Oster 6629 10-Speed 450-Watt Blender, White

Good and bad points to Oster 10 speed blender
I wish I had ordered a more powerful blender. I ordered this one, the Oster 6629 10-speed 450 Watt Blender, to make Smoothies. I will not crush even pre-crushed ice, and bogs down on fruit. I can use it but not for the purpose I wanted.

I use it with mason jars...awesome smoothies ect.
Bought this blender for blending healthy drinks straight into a mason jar with a handle. I found out that most Oster blenders have a base that has the same thread pattern as a small mouth (standard) canning jar. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE WIDE MOUTH JARS. Found this blender on sale at Target for $16 and bought 2 mason jars at the dollar store. Have been using it for drinks and have not needed to use the plastic pitcher that comes with it. Very good so far for the "Magic Bullet" type things I'm using it for. If you are looking for a full on do everything on a large scale blender...I would spend the additional $15 for a glass pitcher. That said, I would never buy a Magic Bullet type device when there is a cheap alternative like this available.

would not use this product anymore nor would i tell any one to by this item , does not work very well. shakes to much to use.
