Disappointed
My wife had wanted one of the Kitchenaid hand mixers for years. She has had great results with her full-size table-top Kitchenaid mixer which still runs great after 15 years. The previous models of the Kitchenaid hand mixer have had great review for years, but the new model of the hand mixer is made in China and is a different story. When the hand mixer arrived one of the beaters would not eject from the mixer, and the other beater wobbled when running. The new unit is very light weight, does not seem very sturdy, has plastic gears rather than metal gears like previous models, and what appears to be chromed metal is actually chromed plastic. My wife had me to return the Kitchenaid hand mixer.
Well built and quite mixed
This mixed feels well balanced and well made. You always start from low speed and can increase your speed from 0 all the way to 9. It is nice that you can stop at any speed by pressing off button and the mixer will gradually slow down and stop. It is by far the quietest mixer I ever owed.
A Great Product
I ordered this for my niece's wedding gift...I it THE MOST used appliance in my kitchen, except perhaps the coffee maker. I've owned a KitchenAid hand mixer for over 25 years and only had to replace it once, after it was dropped! This is a good, powerful, small way to make fluffy whipped cream, cookie dough, and even cake batter. Easy clean-up, especially when considering getting out my huge KitchenAid stand mixer. There are some recipes that this little baby just can't handle, so for those you do need the big stand mixer. Love this product and love giving it to new brides...they will enjoy using it for years to come.
